Eatensity ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Eatensity website at eatensity.com and the Eatensity mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — email address and display name when you create an account (via email or Google sign-in).
- Food logs — the meals and food items you log through the Service, including portion sizes and nutritional data.
- Goals — daily calorie targets and dietary preferences you set.
- Search queries — food search terms used within the app to improve search relevance.
- Device information — device type, OS version, and app version for crash reporting and analytics (via Sentry).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the Service (food tracking, analytics, recommendations).
- Sync your food logs and goals across devices.
- Send password reset and account verification emails.
- Monitor app stability and fix crashes (Sentry error tracking).
- Improve search ranking and food database quality.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS in the Mumbai region). We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Authentication tokens are stored using encrypted device storage (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android).
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Sentry — error and crash reporting.
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in via Google account.
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen in the app or by emailing us. Upon deletion, your food logs, goals, and account information are permanently removed within 30 days.
To delete your account, go to Profile → Delete Account or email privacy@eatensity.com.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
